Q: What is the definition of innovation (bid’ah) and is it permissible to curse the innovator? (Yusuf)
A: Assalamu alaykum , A well-known definition of bid’ah is to add to the religion what is not a part of it as well as to deny what is a part of it and lessening it from it. Every bid’ah is misguidance as it has been stated in an authentic tradition narrated from the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him and his family.
