The Tradition of the Bird (Hadith al-Ṭayr) is one of the traditions conveyed by numerous narrators and recorded in both Sunni and Shiite sources but distorted, misinterpreted and tampered with by adversaries who have been trying to hide this tradition and prevent its transmission and dissemination among the masses so as to keep them and those who seek the truth ignorant. The present study examines this tradition from different angles based on the narrations reported and found in Sunni sources.
